How to remove yourself from TruePeopleSearch

Last checked October 14, 2026

TruePeopleSearch publishes names, addresses, phone numbers and relatives to anyone who searches. You can ask it to take your listing down. Here's exactly how, as of October 14, 2026.

Name, Email address
How long
TruePeopleSearch doesn't publish one. Guides report a few days.
Can it come back?
Likely. Guides recommend checking again every few months.

Step by step

  1. Start on the removal page, not from a search result. Fill in your name and an email you can open right away, and pass the CAPTCHA.
  2. TruePeopleSearch emails you a link to the actual opt-out form. Current guides say it expires after 24 hours.
  3. Use that form to find and remove your record.

Then get it out of Google too

Opting out removes the listing from TruePeopleSearch, but Google can keep showing an old copy for a while. Google's Results about you tool lets you ask for those results to be dropped, and it can tell you when new ones appear.

How we checked this

truepeoplesearch.com blocks visitors from outside the US, so we couldn't read its opt-out page directly. The steps above are cross-checked against several removal guides updated in 2026, and we've left out details they disagree on. If the form looks different when you get there, follow what the page says.
