How to remove yourself from BeenVerified
Last checked October 14, 2026
BeenVerified publishes names, addresses, phone numbers and relatives to anyone who searches. You can ask it to take your listing down. Here's exactly how, as of October 14, 2026.
- You'll need
- Name and state, Email address
- How long
- Usually about 24 hours after the confirmation email, when BeenVerified's servers refresh.
- Can it come back?
- Possible. BeenVerified says a new record that doesn't match your old one can show up as a separate listing.
Step by step
- Search your name and state in the opt-out search on the page above.
- Pick the record that's you.
- Confirm the request from the verification email.
- Wait for a second email saying the record has been opted out.
Good to know
- The online form only removes one record. If you find more than one, BeenVerified asks you to email [email protected].
- No account or payment needed.
- This covers People Search only. BeenVerified's property and contact searches have their own opt-out on the same page.
Then get it out of Google too
Opting out removes the listing from BeenVerified, but Google can keep showing an old copy for a while. Google's Results about you tool lets you ask for those results to be dropped, and it can tell you when new ones appear.
How we checked this
We read the steps on BeenVerified's own opt-out page on October 14, 2026. Anything we couldn't see there is marked as coming from other guides.
